| Brice at Alamo was the one that recommended welding the cam gears. I went with upgraded JWT valve springs but couldn't afford cams or adjustable cam gears. He said I would lose a little power but that it wouldn't be real noticeable. Could definitely be related to that. I'm running 18 psi because I want to be fast lol. Why does anyone run more boost? I am running it on 93 octane, and was thinking that it might be retarding the timing (safety boost I'm guessing) but can't limit the turbos because of my EBC. Is 18 psi too much for 93 octane? I don't ever hear detonatation, but I don't know what I'm listening for other then what I have read about it being a metal ting sound. I am also doubtful if I could hear detonation over my exhaust, which is pretty loud under heavy acceleration. I would like to try the ALC you have sometime. I am almost positive I read that it's supposed to flash your AT light in the dash when you first start the car when the ALC is working properly. Mine will flash the light 10 times or so but very rarely, making me think it's only working intermittently.
